RCN Series
This collection of films was developed as part of a research project exploring the Kênh Tẻ (Tẻ Canal) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The project investigates the interplay between urban and natural environments along the canal, highlighting its cultural and ecological significance. It aligns with the broader global initiative, the River Cities Network, which fosters interdisciplinary collaborations to address the challenges and opportunities of urban waterways. Through creative practice, the films aim to document and reinterpret this dynamic urban space, offering new perspectives on how waterways shape the cultural, social, and environmental fabric of cities.

Nha Be
Nha Be is a district located south of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, currently undergoing rapid urban development. The area features an increasing number of modern apartment buildings designed to cater to the aspirations of the young middle class. These structures prioritize utility over character, often clashing with the remnants of rural life and the vibrant communities residing in traditional dwellings. The juxtaposition highlights a tension between modernity and tradition, as the rapid urbanization risks erasing the cultural and social fabric that defines the district's historical identity.

District 4
The District 4 collection of films represents a sample of the work produced as part of my PhD project. District 4 is a small yet densely populated district located south of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City. The films are part of a series of visual explorations of the intricate network of hems (alleyways) in Wards 14 and 15. These hems serve as shared urban spaces, functioning as extensions of residents' homes, play areas for children, cafés, and street food hubs. This collection provides a detailed documentation of this unique area of the city. The creative practice outputs generated through these films offer new perspectives on the hems, developing innovative ways of understanding and visualizing these dynamic urban spaces.
